Delete history, cache, and cookies
Here’s how to clear information from your device:

  1. 1. To clear your history and cookies, go to Settings > Safari, and tap Clear History and Website Data. Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won’t change your AutoFill information.

    2. To clear your cookies and keep your history, go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, then tap Remove All Website Data.

    3. To visit sites without leaving a history, turn private browsing on or off.
    When there’s no history or website data to clear, the setting turns gray. The setting might also be gray if you have web content restrictions set up under Content & Privacy Restrictions in Screen Time.

 

Android

Just like any desktop web browser, the Android’s web browser apps save cookies.

Although cookies allow you to load previously visited web pages more quickly, they often send personal information such as your email address or telephone number to advertisers from third parties. The advertisers can then send you promotional emails and/or call your mobile phone number to purchase their products.

Considering the above, In view of the above, it is a good practice to delete cookies from your web browser apps on your Android smartphone from time to time.

Here’s how you can clear the saved cookies from your Android smartphone’s web browser:

  1. 1 Turn on your Android phone, if it is powered off.

    2 Tap the Menu icon to go to the apps list.

    3 Locate and tap the web browser icon from which you want to clear the cookies. (E.g. Google Chrome in this demonstration).
    From the opened window, tap the options icon (icon with three vertical dots) at the top-right corner of the interface.

    4 From the displayed list, tap the Settings option.

    5 On the Settings interface, tap Privacy under the ADVANCED section.

    6 Once this is done, on the Privacy window, tap the CLEAR BROWSING DATA button at the bottom of the interface.

    7 On the Clear browsing data pop up box, tap to check the Clear cookies, site data checkbox.

    8 Optionally, on the basis of your requirements, tap to check the other checkboxes representing the other options as well.

    9. Finally, tap the Clear button to clear the selected cookies options.
